Description and Notes

Fleet data: The Indiana-class design is based loosely upon the Steamrunner-class. It is sleek, fast and quite powerful. Development of the two classes began at roughly the same time, with the Indiana design slightly behind its cousin. Physically carrying no crew means that the ship needs no room for quarters or recreational facilities. On the other hand, space is consumed with extra computers and an oversized warp drive, similar to that of the Defiant-class design. Aside from the common Type X phaser banks, the Indiana carries a grouping of the new Type XV Phaser banks, giving it a stronger than average kick.

There is currently only one ship of this class in service, the USS Indiana, currently on an exploration mission in the Beta Quadrant.
