Boarding Party

Conventions used in all adventure scripts: Normal text can safely be told to your players. Bold text is explanatory notes which only the GM / Narrator should see. Introduction

After a quick refit and restock, the ship leaves spacedock, bound for a routine tour of the system. The ships officers are called to the briefing room for an inspirational talk by the Captain. It continues for an hour, and the Crew become tired, until finally he dismisses them. But as they emerge onto the bridge, all hell breaks loose. Five to ten huge Klingons emerge from each turbolift, charging any officers, and this is where the adventure begins.
[This is a shorter adventure, with a bit more action than usual. The ship is invaded and conquered by rebel Klingons, and the Crew must win it back before the Klingons can use the ships arsenal to cause serious havoc in the Empire].

Emergency Beam-out

Before anyone can react, the largest Klingon has reached the shocked Captain, and with a quick swing of his bat'leth, beheads him. His head plops to one side, but there is no time to be shocked. The other Klingons ruthlessly take out anyone in the way. All of this happens in a blur, until suddenly two of the Crew are beamed out, to where, none of them know yet [the Conn officer has quickly sabotaged several systems, and beamed two officers and himself to Cargo Bay Four]. The rest of the Crew are left on the bridge. It seems certain they will be killed, but an intimidating-looking Klingon appears and orders that they be taken to Cargo Bay Four with the rest of the prisoners [he is General Qul'pec, the rebel in charge of this mission].

In Cargo Bay Four

There are the three bridge officers alone in Cargo Bay Four. None are armed, but perhaps one has a tricorder. The CB is mostly empty, apart from several small crates and barrels of some kind. As they take stock of the situation, they hear heavy footsteps from outside. It is obviously one or more Klingons approaching. The only place to hide is in a Jefferies Tube, or behind one of the crates. If they go into the Tube, they can see what is happening and will be un-noticed, but anyone who remains in the CB will be trapped shortly when a forcefield is erected around the CB's walls.
Several burly Klingon guards appear, pushing around 40 to 50 crewmen into the CB. Those officers who remained on the bridge are among this lot. The crewmen are pushed in, then the doors are closed, and a slight shimmer tells everyone that a forcefield has been erected. There is a gap between the forcefield and the wall, just wide enough for a person, so one of the escapees can drop out of the Jefferies Tube and stand next to the wall. There appears to be no route of escape for the trapped crewmen.

Means of Escape

When I played this, the trapped Crew escaped by pushing a crate in the way of the forcefield when it was lowered momentarily. Then, when it was reactivated, they hollowed out the crate and clambered through it, before one over-excited Ensign tripped and smashed the box. A total of 7 crewmen were now on the run, including the Crew who beamed out and four security men who got through the box.
If this route is not explored, allow the trapped players to escape some other way into the Jefferies Tube - they're not going to like spending the whole afternoon locked up.

On the Run

There are any number of things the Crew may decide to do now - when I played, they attempted to take Sickbay so that a Crewman with only one arm could have his replacement fitted. This took quite a while to play through, with a lot of crawling through badly maintained tubes, and one or two of the Security men being taken out.
At some point, though, stop their efforts and tell them that the ship begins to shake violently [it is being hit by an Imperial ship trying to stop it]. Any Klingons working twoards pursuing the Crew, will stop and go to help fight the new boarding party, this time made up of 'friendly' Kliingons. This gives them an opportunity to perhaps take Engineering, or distribute a gas through the ship, or get to the Armaments Cabinet, or whatever. The final confrontation takes place on the bridge.

General Qul'pec

There is a massive fight going on on the bridge. At the heart of it is General Qul'pec. He is single-handedly slaughtering tens of Klingons. Eventually he can be stopped though, and the ship is formally retaken, albeit in a bit bashed-up shape.
