Judas'

"Sure, sure, but where's the money?"
"Oh, don't be so tiresome. Heard it before."

While the revolution began to fight opression and promote freedom, there was always somebody ready to undermine it. Usually it was a convential enemy, like the ISA, or CorpSec. Few reckoned the threat would come from within.

As a Judas, you are a member of a YoGang so loathed and despised you only barely retain the honour of being called a YoGang. Judas' members are highly trained, elite fighters and operatives; yet they are disliked more than any other group. They are two-faced backstabbers, and you don't want to meet them in a dark alley.

A Judas will do anything for personal gain. That's why you joined them - to promote yourself as cheaply and effectively as possible. No-one even bothers to contradict this, because that would stop you getting the job done. Every chance is taken to earn yourself some extra cash, because you know tomorrow might not come for you. You'll work for anyone, so long as the payment's right. You'll also betray anyone.

What You Look Like

There is no dress code for the Judas'. Anything goes.

The versatility of the job means that no one set of clothes is practical. One day you may need a black suit while on an assassination - the next you'll need a toxic suit while you're cleaning the sewers of radioactive sludge. Even if there was an ultra-versatile set of clothes, they would be rejected, because to tie a Judas to one set of clothes is to tie him like a dog to a post.

Some, mis-informed Judas' think of themselves as latter-day Blues Brothers - they're wrong. If you saw a Judas singing, you'd be daft not to take pictures and make a pile out of it. A Judas wears what the occassion demands, and has no sentimentality for clothes.

SubCulture

The Judas' organisation is both anarchic and organized. In one sense, the vast interwoven web of contacts makes the gang appear very informal to the untrained eye - yet at the same time, those contacts are precise, well understood and well used. The Judas' YoGang was founded to aid its members in their pursuit of personal gain, and has no other pretences. It works to serve this purpose as efficiently as possible.

Meetings are purely for mutual benefit when there is reason to gather, usually for the swapping of contacts and jobs. If you've double-booked on an assassination at 12.30, it's the done thing to give the other job to another Judas. The saying, "what goes around comes around", is well subscribed to here. You are a firm believer in this. One day, the kid you gave a cruddy job to 3 years ago will return with the job of your dreams.

You know you are loathed, but are too good at your job to quit. Come to think of it - why should you?

Belonging

Sooner or later, it becomes clear whether or not you are a cheating two-faced liar. If you are, you'll most likely be approached by a Judas, who will invite you to take an apprenticeship with him. This constitutes you following him around for however long it takes you to get in the know. When you're ready to go alone, he'll sit back, feel a sense of well being, and take a healthy cut of your profits.

Of course, by now you could quite easily bump him off. But that's not the done thing either. If it hadn't have been for him, you wouldn't be there at all. You can't just pick up the best contacts off the street, you know. You have to be invited in, and work your way up.

Once in, and established, you're all alone. If you get a fair slice of work, well done. If you go for weeks with no jobs, then it's tough luck. Judas' will help each other, but feel no obligation to anyone. You are what you make of yourself.

Allies & Enemies

To put it simply, none and all.

You rely on everyone, and no-one. You'll work for everyone, and betray everyone. You have no qualms with this - that's just the way it is, and it works fine. Because of it everybody hates you, but you counteract this with the knowledge that when you turn 20, you'll be as rich as, if not richer than, the wealthiest GlitterKids and Lookers. Sure, the dangers are higher, but that's not a bad thing.

No-one can afford to completely abandon you, because you're the best at your job, and the only ones who'll do some things. Soon they forget the knives lodged in their backs, and come running for favours. You gladly accept - when the price is right. You've found that the GlitterKids pay the most, so you do try to avoid betraying them too much.

YoGang Skill: MultiTask (REF)

Your ability to do any job, any time. You are a true jack-of-all-trades, you'll do anything if the offer is right and the advance is fair compensation for your possible demise. It doesn't matter if you're cleaning out the sewers of someone's crap, or kidnapping the Mayors beautiful daughter - you're up for it.

This covers your knowledge of contacts, how to do the job, and anything to do with your lines of work.
