Geezers

"I'm a geezer, know what I mean?"
"Little bit wo, little bit way..."
"Little bit shim, little bit sham..."

You are a Geezer - you've either chosen or been forced into a life of petty crime, 'honest' dealing and escaping the law. You're the master of elusion, you have the gift of the gab, and if there's a deal going down you know about it. You'll turn your hand to anything, from peddling a crate of shady goods on a street corner, to fencing a vanload of hi-fi's for your contact. Anything goes - you're a Geezer.

What You Look Like

Classic Geezer clothing comprises of a long overcoat with many pockets, with anything underneath. No-one ever see's beneath this protective layer, but if they did you'd have to take them out, because that's the greatest privacy you have in the world. Also, you'd lose all respect for yourself - how could you be as shady in anything else?

SubCulture

You have little contact with other Geezers except for when you meet to exchange information or look for work. There is, in your case, honor amongst theives - no-one likes seeing another fall on hard times, so you help each other out for the most. At the same time, competition is fierce and you won't let friendship get in the way of really stinging someone.

When you do meet, information exchange is paramount. There is a natural suspicion held by all Geezers, almost paranoia, that someone somewhere is trying to pull a fast one over them. It doesn't matter whether you're the greatest Geezer to grace the face of the Earth, you've got to keep looking over your shoulder, because it's the one defence that'll never leave you.

Your lives are dominated by small-time heists, infighting and spells inside. During the days, you hang around malls, warehouses and bars, looking for your next opportunity. Night is for actually pulling off the jobs. Sure, sometimes you get caught, but the worst you usually get is a caution or maybe a fine. When you're earning upwards of ten thousand dollars for really big jobs, though, fines aren't a problem.

Belonging

To become a Geezer, you had to display an aptitude for deception, trickery and general shadyness. Once the other members were convinced they could trust you (of sorts), you were offered an apprenticeship with a skilled wheeler-dealer. He (or she, for female Geezers have the advantage of beauty on their side, and first impressions are everything, especially when all cops care about is a pretty face) taught you everything you know, from how to con a cop to the best way to get out of a hairy situation.

Comraderie is above average, and you help each other out in the bad times.

Allies & Enemies

Making plenty of enemies would be bad for business, so whenever possible you try to be diplomatic and keep the peace. Of all your customers, the MallBrats are perhaps the best, because they need you to take the risks for them.

It's inevitable though that you'll make some enemies, and the Guardians are naturally the greatest. You've found, though, that they their regimental routines are easy to overcome, and pulling the wool over their eyes can be quite enjoyable.

You're an ace petty thief, never getting caught for something small, and you love doing the crazy things no-one else would consider.
